MP3 relationships hit the rocks
Over half of MP3 player owners don’t use their device to its full potential, reveals a recent European survey undertaken by Kensington, the computer accessories company.
The survey found that 52 per cent of MP3 player owners are only using their devices to store a limited amount of material, suggesting MP3 player apathy.
“After the initial excitement of getting an MP3 player and uploading their favourite songs this research found that users rarely add further tunes, photos or data that the music device has the potential for,” said Karen Hicks, product manager at Kensington.
With the research showing that only 25 per cent of MP3 player users store photos onto the gadget, many seem to be missing a trick.
“People are neglecting their music, and also forgetting that an MP3 player is not just a music device, it has the ability to be so much more.”
“With Summer holidays already underway we’re urging the UK’s MP3 player population to maximize the potential of their prized possessions by cramming it full of tunes, snaps and podcasts to while-away time spent travelling or relaxing on a beach,” said Hicks.
She concluded: “Kensington offers a range of accessories that can further maximize the potential of MP3 players. With speakers and FM Transmitters users can share their music with friends – turning a personal item into a
social device.”
